Dr Ang graduated from the University of Malaya in 2001. He obtained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and subsequently practiced as a Medical Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Klang General Hospital. He underwent advanced specialty training in medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), and subsequently practiced as a consultant medical oncologist at NCCS. In addition to general medical oncology, Dr Ang has keen interest in gastrointestinal cancer and liver cancer. Dr Ang is actively involved with multiple international phase III clinical trials, and is also a reviewer of several peered-review journals. He has been actively involved in teaching for oncology trainee and nurses, and also a speaker for many local and international meetings.

He was awarded a National Institute for Health (NIHR UK) Academic Clinical Fellowship in 2008, followed by an NIHR award for a Clinical Academic Lectureship in 2011. Emile has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals, and presented internationally. He maintains a strong interest in minimally invasive and open cancer surgery, and pelvic floor disease, in particular laparoscopic prolapse and functional surgery, as well as neuromodulation.

Dr. Sayed Md. Akram Hussain graduated MBBS from Dhaka University, Bangladesh (studied with merit scholarship from Bangladesh Govt.) on year 1990. Later on 2000, he achieved residency in Radiation Oncology at National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital Fellow (Radiation Oncology) of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). He accomplished Masteras of Public Health (Epidemiology), from New Castle University, USA on year 2005 and Mastera of Public Health (Clinical Epidemiology), from Atish Dipankor Science & Technology University, Dhaka, Bangladesh on year 2010. He also took Fellow of College Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow from UK on year 2010 & Fellow of College Physicians of Edinburgh, UK on year 2011. He has expertise on IMRT, IGRT, Gating System, CT, MRI Simulation and Brach therapy. He is currently working as Professor and Head of the Department of Oncology at North East Medical College.

Dr Toh is Senior Consultant and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Strategic Partnerships), Division of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore. He graduated from the University of London, UK with an intercalated Bachelor of Science in ‘Infection and Immunity’ from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School and qualified as a medical doctor from University of Cambridge, UK. Dr Toh obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003. He received his medical oncology fellowship training at the Singapore General Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston USA, and at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. He is also an alumni at the Harvard Business School General Management Program. Dr Toh is a recipient of the National Senior Clinician Scientist Award in 2017 and National Medical Excellence Award (NMEA) in 2018 for his pioneering work in cell and immunotherapy for cancer. He leads the NMRC LCG VICTORY (Virus-Induced Cancers Translational Oncology and immunologY) grant. As an Associate Professor and College Master at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Dr Toh is actively involved in medical education and training. He is the founding Chairman of the Singapore Society of Oncology Cancer Immunotherapy Consortium, co-founder of the Asia Pacific Gastroenterology Cancer Summit (APGCS), and faculty in the Cancer Immunology for the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). Dr Toh has published over 132 peer review journal papers to date.

His specialty interest is in colorectal cancer surgery, especially with the use of minimal invasive and robotic surgery. Dr. Wong specialises in minimal invasive colorectal cancer surgery. He is proficient in advanced colorectal procedures such as extended lymph node dissection surgery in advanced colorectal cancer, transanal endoscopic microsurgery and colonic stenting. Dr. Wong is currently a Senior Consultant Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Dr Yong Wei Peng obtained his medical degree and postgraduate training in University of Aberdeen, Scotland. After completing an oncology fellowship at the National University Hospital, he was awarded the A*star international clinical pharmacology fellowship at the University of Chicago. Upon his return to Singapore, he was awarded a three-year Investigatorship Award under the Clinician Scientist Award to further his research into personalized therapy. Dr Yong leads the therapeutic arm (NUH module) of the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium. The consortium received the prestigious five-year Translational Clinical Research grant in 2007. He is also the Chairman of the National Healthcare Group Domain-Specific Ethics Review Board. His clinical interest is in gastrointestinal cancers and his research interests are pharmacogenetics and epigenetics in cancer.

Dr. Zev Wainberg is the Professor of Medicine at UCLA and co-director of the UCLA GI Oncology Program. He was trained in medical oncology and hematology at UCLA. He completed his residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and received his MD from the Sackler School of Medicine, New York Program at Tel Aviv University. His research involves a variety of clinical trials in multiple gastrointestinal cancers including pancreas, colon, gastric and esophageal. Dr. Wainberg's laboratory based research efforts involve the testing of novel therapeutics against all gastrointestinal cancers. Currently, he is the recipient of several grants focused on the targeting of cancer stem cells and in molecular classification of GI cancers.
